President instructs total transparency in Segalmex case; Mexican government recovers amounts / @lopezobrador_ @GobiernoMX >>>
#GobiernoDeMéxico.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador instructed the Ministry of the Interior to make transparent on official platforms of the Mexican Government everything related to irregularities in Mexican Food Security (Segalmex) registered between 2019 and 2020.
This day, in a morning conference, authorities reported progress on the investigation, recovery of amounts and complaints against those involved.
“We are going to be reporting; still before we leave we are going to report. If we don’t do it here, the Ministry of Public Function, the Ministry of the Interior, the Attorney General’s Office and of course Segalmex will do it so that this is totally clarified because we said: ‘zero corruption, zero impunity’ and we don’t want to leave any pending. Our adversaries are attentive to stain, they seek to stain our government and we have to act scrupulously because we are not the same, it is no longer the time of corruption, that is over. Neither corruption nor impunity”, stressed the President.
The Secretary of Public Function (SFP), Roberto Salcedo Aquino, explained that several audits to the 2019 and 2020 public accounts allowed detecting acts of corruption committed by public servants.
The auditing acts carried out by the Ministry of Public Function and the Superior Audit Office of the Federation in Segalmex observed indications of possible patrimonial damage for 9,500 million pesos, so that there was a continuous collection and presentation of supporting and verifying documents of the expenditure that were scattered in offices all over the country.
Of the 9.5 billion pesos, 4.7 billion pesos have already been clarified and recovered, that is, close to 50 percent of the total; 2.1 billion pesos, 22 percent, are in the process of being analyzed for their accreditation by auditing agencies and 2.7 billion pesos, 28 percent, were not clarified during the auditing process, thus constituting this amount as the amount of asset damage to the public treasury.
