The Tianguis Nacional de Pueblos Mágicos 2024 continues in Veracruz with great attendance / @SECTUR_mx >>>

#SECTUR.- On the second day of activities at this event, the Secretary of Tourism of the Mexican Government, Miguel Torruco Marqués, and the governor-elect of Veracruz, Rocío Nahle García, toured the venue, where they stressed the importance of continuing with tourism promotion activities.

Also accompanied by the state Secretary of Tourism, Ivan Martínez Olvera, the head of the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) stressed the importance of continuing to join wills, efforts and creativity so that the Magical Towns, symbols of national identity, reaffirm themselves as tourist places capable of generating foreign exchange, employment, investment and social wellbeing for their inhabitants.

He reiterated that the Magical Towns and Neighborhoods have become a key element for the diversification, growth and enhancement of tourism in Mexico.

During the tour Torruco Marqués asserted that the transformation and consolidation of tourism as a tool for social reconciliation, as instructed by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, will continue in the new administration of the state’s elected governor and Mexico’s first woman president, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

As part of the activities of the National Tianguis of Magical Towns, the Secretary of Tourism presented the appointment of Analco-Calvario as a Magical Neighborhood to the Secretary of Tourism of Durango, Elisa Haro Ruiz, and distinguished that, with this appointment to this emblematic area of the state capital, the diversification of the tourist offer of the destinations continues to be promoted, as well as expanding the range of experiences for potential domestic and foreign visitors.

The Secretary of Tourism of Durango recognized the importance of this designation, the result of the work carried out by her office to turn these two neighborhoods, full of culture, tradition and gastronomy, into a tourist reference, thanks to the coordinated work between the inhabitants and the three levels of government.
