Sports Weekend in Tecámac with the Sixth Swimming Cup and Athletic Race / @MejorTecamac >>>

#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- This weekend the Municipal Institute of Physical Culture and Sports (Imdeporte) will hold the Sixth Tecámac Swimming Cup and the 5-kilometer Athletic Race, events organized by the municipal authorities to promote physical activity among the population.

In the semi-Olympic pool of the Sierra Hermosa Ecological and Sports Park, the Sixth Tecámac Swimming Cup will begin this Saturday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m., where 250 swimmers from 14 teams from the state of Puebla, Mexico City, Tultitlán, Zumpango and Tultepec are expected to participate.

In addition to the municipality of Tizayuca and the Autonomous University of Chapingo, this sporting event is endorsed by the Swimming Association of the State of Mexico (ANEM).

Swimmers will compete in freestyle, breast, butterfly, crawl and backstroke; the cup will be held on September 21 and 22.

In the Tecámac Athletic Race of 5 kilometers, about 275 runners are expected to participate, who will compete in the men’s and women’s categories: absolute, free, masters and veterans.

These events are organized by Imdeporte to promote sports among children and young people, which is an essential part of their academic and emotional development.
