Tecámac Government carries out the C-3 Program to Detect Youth with Emotional Problems / @MejorTecamac >>>

#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- The Government of Tecámac, through the municipal DIF system, carries out the C-3 Transforming Behavior Program, through which it seeks to detect in public educational institutions young people with emotional problems that may lead to negative actions.

The students are evaluated through a screening, which consists of 81 questions on topics such as family and friends relationships, substance use and abuse, aggressive and criminal behavior, as well as educational environment, a test that is endorsed by the Community Center for Mental Health and Addictions (Cecosama) of the Government of Mexico.

Through this questionnaire it is determined if the student is in red light, which indicates that there is a pathology of addictions; yellow in risk, and green, negative.

Since the creation of this program in 2019, more than 15,500 students have been evaluated through screening, and more than 2,500 young people and their parents have been assisted in the second phase of intervention.

The latter includes three consecutive weekends for adolescents with problems and their families to work on emotional issues of impact, which help improve their temperament and interaction in the family, school and social nucleus.

After the intervention phase, the young people receive scholarships from Imdeporte to practice one of the 12 disciplines it offers, or they can opt for some of the recreational, cultural and artistic courses offered by the Youth Development Center.
