#EstadoDeMéxico.- The State of Mexico will receive private investments for more than 15 billion pesos, which in turn will generate more than five thousand new formal jobs in the state, announced Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez.

This Monday, together with the Secretary of Economic Development, Laura González Hernández, she announced that among the companies that will expand their operations are Coppel, Chedraui, Farmacias San Pablo, Liverpool and Garcés.

It was noted that all are grouped in the National Association of Supermarkets and Department Stores (ANTAD), and consider the State of Mexico as a strategic place for their growth.

Following these announcements, the state government reiterated that it will maintain its relationship with the private sector in order to maintain the flow of investment in the state.

Incoming investment

Grupo Coppel will open 14 new branches in municipalities such as Tultitlán, Nezahualcóyotl, Metepec and Cuautitlán Izcalli, among others, which will be added to the more than 200 already in operation.

Chedraui plans to open 23 new points of sale, 21 of them under the Supercito format and two Supercito Selecto, and it also plans to begin construction of a store in Lerma, scheduled to open in 2025.

Farmacias San Pablo will open and expand six branches in municipalities such as Huixquilucan, Calimaya and Tlalnepantla de Baz, creating 271 direct jobs and 556 indirect jobs.
