#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) is prepared for the arrival of Hurricane John, which will probably make landfall this Tuesday, September 24 on the coasts of Guerrero and Oaxaca, according to the forecast of the National Meteorological Service.
The SICT Centers of both entities are prepared to attend the eventual affectations that could occur in the Federal Highway Network and feeder roads.
The SICT emergency committee, through the General Directorate of Technical Services, is coordinating preventive actions to be carried out on the highway network in the southeast of the country.
It works jointly with the National Civil Protection Coordination, state and municipal governments to attend to any possible incidents that may occur.
There is a permanent monitoring of the Federal Highway Network, with the main focus on the area of possible impact.
The agency deployed conservation crews supported by vehicles and specialized machinery equipment, such as backhoes, motor graders and dump trucks, which, if necessary, will be mobilized to immediately attend to the points of the highway network where there may be damage, in order to reestablish vehicular circulation and provide safety to users.
The SICT urges users of the Federal Highway Network to be attentive to the warnings issued by federal, state and local authorities, in order to take extreme precautions due to weather conditions in their locality.
