#Tlalpan, #CDMX.- The tourist attractions of the Tlalpan municipality were boosted during the three years of the present administration, said Alfa González, head of the municipality, highlighting the offer that includes: gastronomy, culture, history, adventure, religious sites, nature and archeology.

González Magallanes said that “Tlalpan is a safe, clean and familiar tourist destination”, where national and foreign tourists can enjoy a lighted, safer mayor’s office, with dignified public spaces and a better urban infrastructure than it had in 2021.

Among the actions carried out, he mentioned the re-launching in 2023 of the Tourist Tramway, which was inactive for four years and with which tourists can enjoy the 41 most attractive sites of the downtown area, through a route of 8 kilometers.

He highlighted that, for the second year, Tlalpan was one of the only districts of the CDMX that participated in the Tianguis Turístico de México, where it held more than 70 working meetings with national and international tour operators.

Through integration strategies and events such as “Destino Tlalpan”, important alliances were forged with the business sector and institutions such as Canaco, Coparmex, AMAV, Canirac, Six Flags Mexico, Universidad Intercontinental, Fondo Mixto de Promoción Turística de la CDMX, Quinta Soledad, among others.
The Mayoress recalled that the campaign Ven a Tlalpan (Come to Tlalpan) was created to promote unique destinations and attractions in Tlalpan, such as ecotourism, adventure tourism, rappel, hiking, caving, as well as natural treasures such as Pico del Aguila, the Xitle volcano, the native towns, and cultural treasures such as Cuicuilco.

The concept of the Coffee Corridor was promoted to encourage the sale of coffee and bread in the center of Tlalpan and the “Tlalpan Taquero Mucho” route, to recommend the taquerias in this area of the district.

In addition, the mayor reported that support was given to 59 tourism projects and strengthened the register of artisans of the mayor’s office, with 90 members who had marketing activities in the fairs of the Artisan.
