#Atizapán, #Edoméx.- The City Council of Atizapán de Zaragoza, headed by the Municipal President, Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, unanimously authorized immediate support with technical assistance and cash resources to purchase household goods for each of the 131 homes that suffered severe flooding and damage due to the rain on September 15.

The approval was given during the One Hundred Sixteenth Ordinary Cabildo Session, in which it was informed that the resources, amounting to 2 million 620 thousand pesos, will be destined for the houses located in the Las Huertas and Bellavista II subdivisions, Colonia El Potrero and the town of Calacoaya. The agreement came into operation upon approval.

On September 15, the rain recorded in Atizapán de Zaragoza lasted approximately 3 hours and caused flooding in homes.

“We have contingencies, but the Municipal President has shown that the good management of finances has led us to be able to give an immediate response to the citizens, even authorizing support that cannot be foreseen, such as this aid in cases of these typical rains”, said the Municipal Treasurer in a previous interview.

And as part of the support that the Government of Atizapan grants to sportsmen, in the same session it was also authorized to turn to the Treasury Commission for study, analysis and ruling the petition presented so that the FOF Basketball School of Talented Basketball can receive the support it needs.
