Tecámac Animal Sanctuary welcomes donkey “Rutilia”/ @MejorTecamac >>>
#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- The Tecámac Animal Sanctuary, located in the Sierra Hermosa Ecological and Sports Park, received its newest member: “Rutilia”, a donkey from Santo Domingo Ajoloapan, who was donated after her owner passed away.
“Rutilia”, 26 years old, arrives to a safe and cozy environment where staff of the Animal Control and Welfare Unit provides her with the necessary care, since one of the policies of the Municipal Government of Tecámac is to promote the protection and welfare of animals.
The relatives of the owner of the donkey, not having the necessary time to take care of “Rutilia”, decided to donate her, since she often roamed the streets of the community of Santo Domingo Ajoloapan without supervision.
At the Animal Sanctuary, rescued or donated animals are cared for, many of which come from owners who do not have the resources, time or space necessary to offer them adequate care.
It currently houses more than 80 ducks, five horses, four deer, a piglet, five Australian parakeets, a parakeet, a goat, a squirrel, five giant tortoises and rabbits.
With the arrival of “Rutilia”, the Municipal Government of Tecámac’s Animal Sanctuary continues its work of offering a safe home to the most needy animals as well as promoting their protection and care.
