#EstadoDeMéxico.- Families affected by last August’s floods in the municipality of Chalco will receive household goods and an economic support of eight thousand pesos, announced the Governor of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gómez Álvarez.

She explained that the resources for a total of one thousand 760 affected families come from the Welfare Secretariat of the Government of Mexico, while the household goods are delivered in coordination with the state and municipal governments.

“On Saturday we ended up delivering to those affected the support of 8 thousand pesos to each family. For this, thank you very much Mr. President. In the next few weeks these more than 1,700 families will be receiving their household goods,” said Gómez Álvarez.

During her visit to Valle de Chalco on Sunday, where she gave a regional report of her first work report, the state governor said that these actions are only a part of the support that is being generated for the victims.

She guaranteed that her government will continue working on proposals and evaluations to solve the root of the problem in that area, in order to avoid similar situations in the future.

“We want to conclude everything that was left as a proposal and we are carrying it out every afternoon that our municipal president accompanies us in those meetings, to make an evaluation and leave well what is the area,” he said.
