#Celaya, #Gto.- With an investment of close to 1 million 100 thousand pesos, the facilities of the Children’s Assistance Center (CAI) were inaugurated in the community of San Juan de la Vega; this is the third CAI that the DIF Celaya System has and will have a maximum capacity to receive 60 children, once in operation.

This was announced by Mrs. Rosa María Suárez de Mendoza, president of the Board of Trustees of the DIF Celaya System, after cutting the ribbon and unveiling the inaugural plaque on Tuesday.

“I want to tell you that this is a very special moment for me, because right in this same place, but 34 years ago, I had the opportunity to inaugurate the Casa de la Mujer Campesina, a space where various workshops were offered to promote women’s self-employment.

“And today we are here to formally inaugurate the Child Care Center, with which DIF Celaya will now have three centers to offer childcare services to working mothers, a service so necessary in this community, which is one of the largest in Celaya, so that they can go out to work with the peace of mind that their children are well cared for and well fed,” said Mrs. Rosita Suárez.

The building located at 320 Álvaro Obregón Street was previously operated by the Social Development Department and was rehabilitated by the Public Works Department to offer daycare services in the community. The investment cost was 1 million 91 thousand pesos, in addition to the furniture and equipment donated by DIF Nacional and DIF Estatal Guanajuato, with a value of more than 500 thousand pesos.
