Tecámac hosts the State Contest “Ritmo y Juventud” during the Week of Social Prevention / @MejorTecamac >>>

#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- The municipality of Tecámac hosted the 16th Social Prevention Week, where the “Ritmo y Juventud” dance contest was held to promote the social and emotional development of adolescents and young people in the State of Mexico.

The municipal president, Rocio Miguel Hernandez, highlighted the importance of the work of the Municipal System DIF Tecamac in promoting the integral wellbeing of citizens, especially focused on girls, boys, adolescents and young people. “We are committed to creating safe spaces where our young people can explore their emotions and develop their social skills.”

At Tecámac’s Youth Attention and Social Prevention module, the mayor mentioned that through recreational activities, workshops and awareness programs, the aim is to strengthen the emotional health of adolescents, fostering their resilience in the face of the challenges of everyday life.

The “Ritmo y Juventud” contest not only seeks to reward talent in dance, but also to promote values such as discipline, teamwork and healthy recreation, said Miguel Hernandez, in this edition 44 young people from eleven academies participated.

For her part, Elizabeth Alvarez Garcia, head of the Directorate of Social Reinsertion and Treatment of Adolescents in the State of Mexico, emphasized the importance of these initiatives to prevent antisocial behavior and promote the welfare of children and youth.

He said that since 2009, the Social Prevention Week has been a key space for children, adolescents and young people from the 125 municipalities of the State of Mexico to participate in cultural, sports and recreational activities. “Ritmo y Juventud” is a centerpiece in these efforts, by offering a space where adolescents can express themselves freely through dance.

The protocol event was attended by representatives of the youth preceptories of Almoloya de Juárez, Apaxco, Atizapán de Zaragoza, Atlacomulco, Coyotepec, Cuautitlán Izcalli, Cuautitlán México, Chimalhuacán, Ecatepec, Ixtlahuaca, Naucalpan, Nezahualcóyotl, Tejupilco, Tenancingo, Texcoco, Tlalnepantla and Valle de Bravo.
