Secretaries of Security and Urban Development and Infrastructure of EdoMéx sign agreement to develop and improve public works >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- With the objective of generating new public works and related services, the Secretary of Security of the State of Mexico, Cristóbal Castañeda Camarillo, and Carlos Maza Lara, Head of the Secretariat of Development and Infrastructure (SEDUI), signed the agreement “Framework of Coordination for the Execution of Public Works by Commissioning”.

The state security representative highlighted the synergy between the two agencies and the importance of the agreement, as it responds to an instruction from the Governor of the state, Mrs. Delfina Gómez Alvarez, which will have a direct effect on the improvement of the agency’s spaces; he emphasized that it will be focused on Mexico’s prisons and on benefiting the social reintegration process of the inmates, by improving Mexico’s Penitentiary System with the construction of dignified spaces.

“The intention with the signing of this contract is to improve the infrastructure of the Public Security structure, mainly in the area of the Penitentiary Centers to attend to the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PPL), in the best possible conditions, adding with this and attending the instructions of the Constitutional Governor of the State, Mrs. Delfina Gómez Álvarez”.

For his part, the Secretary of the SEDUI, recognized the work that the SSEM performs and that attends to one of the main pillars of the current state administration, which is; peace and tranquility for the inhabitants, so that through collaboration, the Secretariat that he heads joins to achieve the common good and demand.

“We want to continue in this way in this six-year term, to continue supporting the Security Secretariat because for us it is important that the State is truly in peace, being in peace the State, everything develops”.

Finally, Jorge Baltazar Briones, Undersecretary of Infrastructure, during the reading of reasons for the event, specified that the contract is not an instrument or the way to ensure the obtaining of resources for public works and is attached to article 12.8 of the Administrative Code of the State of Mexico, so that later work tables will be established to define scopes.
