Tecámac Promotes Sports with Various Activities this Weekend / @MejorTecamac >>>

#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- Tecámac consolidates its position as a leading municipality in promoting sports. This weekend will be held the State Swimming Championship, the Amateur Box Amateur and the Fifth Athletic Race 5K “Stop cancer, follow your path” which for the first time will take place in the linear park of Los Héroes Tecámac, which runs on Ozumbilla Avenue.

On October 18, 19 and 20, the State Swimming Championship will take place in the pool of the “Sierra Hermosa” Ecological and Sports Park, with the participation of 38 teams from the municipalities of Huixquilucan, Amecameca, Teoloyucan, Mexico City, Tultepec and Tecámac.

Meanwhile, this Saturday at the Tecámac Convention Center, the Amateur Boxing bout took place, where Rogelio “Roca” Salazar made his last appearance in the ring, closing his professional career with one more victory, after participating in more than 300 fights.

For this bout Salazar, who fought in the welterweight category, registered a height of 1.76 meters and stepped into the ring as representative of the red corner, with right guard, defeating his rival, Jair Rojo Vega, who occupied the blue corner; both obtained 65 kilos on the scales.

On Sunday, October 20 at 7:00 a.m., in the Parque Lineal de los Héroes Tecámac, the “Fifth Athletic Race 5K, Stop Cancer Follow your Path” will be held, where 1,300 runners will participate in the free category for men and women.
The winners will receive an economic prize of 7,500 pesos for first place, 5,000 pesos for second place and 2,500 pesos for third place in both categories.

This sporting event is organized by the Municipal Institute of Physical Culture and Sports of Tecámac (Imdeporte) and registration for the race was completely free of charge.
