#EstadoDeMéxico.- With an investment of more than 1.2 billion pesos and the generation of 1,000 formal jobs, the Governor of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gómez Álvarez, and Agustín Coppel Luken, CEO of Grupo Coppel, inaugurated the Distribution Center of this company in the municipality of Texcoco, which is its largest CEDIS in the country, equipped with the latest technology in the sector.
“With an investment of 1.2 billion pesos, this Logistics Distribution Center was built, thus providing a change with direction, origin and destination to the people of Mexico. Today, well-being is not concentrated in just one area, thanks to the generation of decent jobs and development with social justice,” said Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez.
Since the beginning of the current administration, attracting investment to the State of Mexico has been one of the commitments of Delfina Gómez Álvarez, which is why businessmen have been given support and certainty, generating confidence to settle in the state, generating an economic flow and new jobs with unprecedented figures in the last 27 years.
“The joint work we have done with businessmen and municipal governments to create new work spaces in this first year of government has placed us as the first entity at a national level in the creation of jobs,” said Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez.
In this regard, Laura González Hernández, head of the Secretariat of Economic Development (Sedeco), said that the State of Mexico ranks first nationally in Distribution Centers, with 389, representing 13 percent of the national total, this investment is landed in the Eastern Zone of the State, which significantly marks the path that will take the development of investment projects that will detonate more and better jobs in this priority region for the entity.
He pointed out that the current administration’s mission is to restore the confidence of citizens and businessmen who have seen the state as a destination for investment and job creation, which is why an investment promotion strategy has been implemented, and significant progress has been made in the arrival of domestic and foreign investment, the generation of formal employment and the growth of key sectors so that the state continues to be the country’s economic engine.
