#SECTUR.- The Secretary of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, announced that within the framework of the upcoming Tianguis Turístico 2025 to be held in the state of Baja California, and as part of the promotion of Mexico in the United States, the activities of the most important tourism fair in America will also be held in San Diego, California.

While participating in the meeting “Binational Delegation to Mexico City 2024”, with members of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, and in the presence of the coordinator of the Business Advisory Council of the Mexican Government, Altagracia Gómez Sierra, she highlighted that these activations in the neighboring country of the North will allow the 32 states of the Mexican Republic to spread their cultural and gastronomic wealth, and businessmen to strengthen economic ties in favor of national tourism.

The head of Mexico’s Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) highlighted the relevance of taking the Tianguis Turístico 2025 to the United States, given that in the January-August 2024 period 29 million international tourists visited our country, of which 70 percent came from the neighboring country to the north.

She highlighted the importance of this type of events as a window to promote Mexico’s riches to the world, as well as to publicize and strengthen tourism investments through business meetings with tour operators.

Likewise, the Secretary of Tourism highlighted the vision of the President, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, to boost the welfare of Mexico with an emphasis on community tourism, which generates shared prosperity to resident communities, from the dissemination of its gastronomic, craft, cultural wealth, but above all, what makes the difference of the mmexicano: its hostess.
