#Celaya, #Gto.- DIF Celaya, through the area of Food Development, will implement a “Food Hygiene and Safety Manual”, aimed at the more than 130 volunteers who work in the 33 community kitchens served by the system.

The purpose of this is to share knowledge and put it into practice in order to improve the processes carried out and continue guaranteeing its quality.

Concepción Pereda Hinojosa, Coordinator of Food Development, informed that during the following months and through DIF personnel, they will visit each of the community kitchens for a week to explain and train on the manual.

“The delivery and training of the manual consists of spending a week in each community dining room for the volunteers to learn how to carry out the planning of the cyclical menu, the planning of purchases and supplies, tips for food conservation, the location of the food, how they should organize it in the dining room, the storage of non-perishable supplies and the location of the same for the first inputs and outputs.”

“There will also be a review of food hygiene, personal hygiene and hygiene in the food space. This with the purpose of carrying out a report that will be presented to us by the nutritionists, to carry out all the actions that have to be done, always to improve and we will follow them up as DIF”.

The main objective is to have each dining room in perfect condition, both in terms of cleanliness and food preparation.

Between 130 to 140 volunteers will be trained based on this manual.

Just to remind some of the points where the System for the Integral Development of the Family works is in Capulines, San Lorenzo, Ojo Seco, Rincon de Tamayo, La Aurora, Los Aguirre, Plancarte, San Juan de la Vega, and some associations and schools.
