Cleaning Works in Tecámac’s Cemeteries for the Day of the Dead / @MejorTecamac >>>

#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- A few days before celebrating the Day of the Dead, one of the most deeply rooted traditions in Mexican culture, personnel from the General Directorate of Ecology and Environmental Management are cleaning up different cemeteries in Tecámac, in anticipation of the arrival of hundreds of people who will visit the cemeteries on November 1 and 2.

So far more than 110 tons of weed and debris have been removed from the municipal cemeteries of San Jerónimo Xonocahuacan, Ozumbilla and San Martín Aztacatepec and from the communities of San Pedro Atzompa, Santo Domingo Ajoloapan, Loma Bonita and San Pedro Pozohuacan.
The cleanup work also includes garbage removal, weeding and general maintenance to ensure that visitors can pay homage in a clean and dignified environment.

As part of the Day of the Dead tradition, the cemeteries will be filled with cempasúchil flowers, candles and offerings in the coming days, symbolizing the spiritual connection between the living and the departed.

With this, Tecámac reinforces its commitment to the preservation of its traditions and provides an environment conducive to families celebrating the Day of the Dead, which is a pillar of Mexican cultural identity, uniting generations and strengthening the cultural fabric of the region.
