CONARTE presents the premiere of the stage play “49 días” in Nuevo León / @nuevoleon >>>
#NuevoLeón.- As part of the Danza CONARTE 2024 season, the company Pájaro, arte escénico, will premiere “49 days” at the Teatro del Centro de las Artes.
It is a scenic work that explores the period between death and rebirth, which according to Buddhist philosophy lasts 49 days. With this proposal, the group returns to the stage after a long period of post-pandemic waiting.
Seeing death with detachment and compassion, accepting the deaths of loved ones, leads the group to manifest in this work an approach to those who have departed, highlighting that the important event is to accompany them in their transition in a calm and gentle way, allowing them to mitigate the confusion and chaos of recognizing themselves as universal consciousness and remembering everything.
The concept of the bardo opens a range of multiple possibilities because what happens in it is nourished by what the individual observed during his incarnation and to which he feels attached. In this way, musical references ranging from pop to classical music and postmodernism are taken to present delirious paintings in movement that transport the viewer to the space, the pause, the transition, the wait of 49 days.
Pájaro, arte escénico is made up of artists who come from different disciplines and converge in dance, nurturing our creations with different and innovative approaches and points of view.
Margarita Chan, Aleyda García, Paola Bazaldúa and Catalina Castilla, who is also in charge of general direction, make up the cast. Jesús Héctor Mireles Cano participates by sharing his expertise in the creative process, revising the piece and developing the graphic image; Armanda Barbosa is in charge of the lighting design.
General admission is 120 pesos and 80 pesos for children, students, teachers and INAPAM (with valid ID). Tickets will be available one hour before the performance at the box office of the Teatro del Centro de las Artes, located inside the Fundidora Park.
