Ecatepec undertakes a massive awareness campaign to eradicate gender-based violence / @Ecatepec >>>

#Ecatepec, #Edoméx.- He explained that these actions will be carried out from Monday, November 25 to Tuesday, December 10, 2024 and are aimed at raising awareness among the population about the importance of eradicating gender violence.

During this period, tarpaulins will be placed and flyers will be distributed in neighborhoods such as: San Cristobal Centro, La Presa, El Chamizal, Nicolas Bravo, Ciudad Cuauhtemoc, Luis Donaldo Colosio, Potrero del Rey, Hank Gonzalez, Jardines de Morelos, Santa Maria Tulpetlac, Granjas Valle de Guadalupe, Valle de Aragon 3rd Section, San Miguel Xalostoc, San Miguel Xalostoc, San Miguel Xalostoc and San Miguel Xalostoc, among others. Section, San Miguel Xalostoc, Altavilla, Ciudad Azteca 3rd Section, Jardines de Santa Clara, Jardines de Cerro Gordo, FOVISSSTE and Las Americas.

For her part, the director of the Municipal Institute of Women and Gender Equality, Susana García Esparza, requested the support of the citizens and public officials of the various areas that make up the municipality, as the collaboration seeks to ensure a significant impact on the promotion of a culture of respect, equity and peace in the municipality.

He said: “Today, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, we are going to intensify a task that we always develop, which is the dissemination of emergency numbers and services that are available to women who may be victims of violence in Ecatepec. We request the collaboration of all the areas of the city council to make a larger and massive diffusion, reaching the neighborhoods with the highest incidence of domestic violence”.

He also highlighted that with these actions Ecatepec also joins the campaign “Unite”, 16 days of UN activism in favor of the eradication of gender violence.

García Esparza reiterated that the Municipal Institute of Women and Gender Equality will continue to offer specialized services to support women in the municipality, such as legal advice, guardianship and custody, alimony, divorce, psychological counseling, accompaniment to women victims of violence, driving lessons, support from the Violet Cell and paternity recognition procedures.
