IMSS seeks to knock out sedentary lifestyles with clinics and boxing tournaments in Barrio Bravo de Tepito / @Tu_IMSS >>>

#IMSS.- The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) held its series of Boxing Clinics and Tournaments 2024, as part of the actions that the Technical Coordination of Physical Culture and Sports carries out within the framework of the National Program of Physical Activation for Health.

On Monday, November 25, during the inauguration at the facilities of the Bachillerato Tecnológico de Educación y Promoción Deportiva (BTED) Plantel Cuauhtémoc and in the presence of exponents of this sport such as former champion Juan Manuel Márquez, Francisco “El Bandido” Vargas, Mariana “La Barby” Juárez, Misael Rodríguez, Carlos Roberto Cuadras “El Príncipe”, among others, the technical coordinator of Physical Culture and Sports of the IMSS, Héctor García Antonio, pointed out that the objective is to promote physical reactivation, a healthy lifestyle, recreation and social integration.

With the participation of more than 200 boxers, boxing clinics, physical activation dynamics, motivational talks, addiction prevention and a tournament were held.

During the opening bell for the 10 bouts scheduled for Tuesday, November 26, Héctor García pointed out that the IMSS General Director, Zoé Robledo, is attentive to the various actions that are promoted for the promotion of health and physical activation, since these are elements that help to prevent diseases and maintain a good quality of life.

He emphasized that the Technical Coordination of Physical Culture and Sports of the Social Security is one more ally to promote the next athletes of Mexico, the commitment is to do and promote sports, as on this occasion, from the neighborhood of Tepito, historical trainer of pugilist champions.
