#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Coordination Table for the Construction of Peace held its 301st meeting of the administration of the Governor of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gómez Álvarez, highlighting the decrease of 6.60 percent in high-impact crimes and 2.26 percent in the total incidence of crime.

As well as the follow-up to the five key axes of the security strategy: attention to the causes of crime, intelligence and investigation actions, social reinsertion, inter-institutional coordination and budget allocation to have more and better police.

“In the security roundtables it is not only about sitting down and recording data, but it is about analyzing what is happening in my municipality and how I can contribute to improve, on the one hand, the causes and other actions aimed at improving,” said Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez.

According to data from the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM), when comparing the first 14.5 months of the current government with the last 14.5 months of the previous administration, high impact crimes decreased 6.60 percent and the total incidence of crimes decreased 2.26 percent.

The crimes that stand out for their decrease are: Home Robbery with Violence with 29.53 percent; Kidnapping with 29.03 percent; Feminicide with 28 percent; Robbery of Passenger Transportation with 18.02 percent; Homicide with 12.96 percent and Extortion with 10.86 percent.

Similarly, the Secretary of Security of the State of Mexico (SSEM) reported relevant actions such as the arrest of alleged members of criminal groups. Last August alone, 59 targets were arrested and 12 people were detained, including two alleged leaders of a criminal organization with origins in Michoacán, who are possibly responsible for high-impact crimes. The priority targets are identified as Óscar “N” alias “Pecha” and Óscar Geovanni “N” alias “Gordo Mata”.
