Sectur presents to the Tourism Commission actions to work with synergy in Magic Towns / @SECTUR_mx >>>

#SECTUR.- Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, held a meeting with members of the Tourism Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, chaired by Tania Palacios Kuri, with whom she agreed to work in synergy for the benefit of Mexicans, as well as to maintain a continuous and coordinated work, through the celebration of a monthly meeting.

Accompanied by the Undersecretary of Tourism and in charge of the economic, cultural and social reactivation of Acapulco, Sebastián Ramírez Mendoza, as well as by representatives of all political forces, the head of the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) presented the relevant actions implemented in the present administration for the benefit of the tourist activity, during the first two months of her administration.

In a lively exchange of ideas, the representatives of the Chamber of Deputies expressed their interest in learning about the new government’s guidelines on tourism matters and presented areas of opportunity to consolidate tourism in Mexico.

He explained to the attendees the promotional work to consolidate the Mayan Train as a detonator of the tourist activity, with a national and international campaign in a coordinated work with the Airport, Railroad, Auxiliary and Related Services Group, Olmeca-Maya-Mexica. In inviting the legislators of the Tourism Commission to get on board the Mayan Train, he emphasized that in this administration the agency he heads will play a significant role in making decisions to benefit this infrastructure project which, as President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo informed, will be inaugurated on its last section on December 15.
