Mariela Gutiérrez calls on the Boundary Commission of the Congress of the State of Mexico not to allow itself to be pressured in the Tecámac-Tonanitla dispute >>>
After thanking the expressions of solidarity and concern for her state of health (she said she is well), after the territorial limits incident between Tecámac and Tonanitla, Senator Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante, asked the Congress of the State of Mexico not to let itself be pressured to solve this conflict.
In a press conference, the former mayor of Tecámac called for everything to be resolved in peace and harmony, as she said the inhabitants of the municipality she governed have always acted prudently towards their neighbors.
She regretted that one of the parties has closed on several occasions the accesses to the AIFA and the Military Zone.
Mariela Gutiérrez recalled the existence of a political agreement (October 2023) between Tecámac and Tonanitla in which the parties agreed not to exercise any act of authority, which was violated yesterday by the latter.
The senator from Mexico explained that in the signed pact, it was clear that it would be the state police who would guarantee security and mobility, a situation that was broken yesterday.
Before the national media, the former tecamaquense senator reiterated her call to the legislative commission to act without pressure, since she said that there are at least 20 boundary conflicts in the State of Mexico and only in the vicinity of Tonanitla there is violence and municipal authorities have been involved.
When questioned by the media, Mariela Gutiérrez acknowledged that she was fine, but that the safety of a person can always be at risk -this was not the case- and gave several details.
