SICT launches Winter Vacation Operation 2024 on highways and bus terminals / @SICT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), in coordination with the National Guard, is implementing the Winter Vacation Operation 2024, in which various preventive actions will be carried out on federal highways and bus terminals from December 16, 2024 to January 12, 2025.

Public servants from the General Directorate of Federal Transportation (DGAF), the SICT Centers and the General Directorate of Protection and Preventive Medicine in Transportation (DGPMPT) will participate in these actions.

The objective is to prevent the occurrence of accidents and thus provide confidence and safety to users of federal public transportation, by verifying the psychophysical integrity of the personnel involved in the driving, operation and assistance of federal public transportation.

The doctors perform medical tests at road points identified for their accident rate and bus terminals nationwide, in addition to reviewing the logs of hours of service in compliance with NOM-087-SCT-2-2017.

Medical examinations will include: general inspection; intentional questioning; assessment of vital signs and eye reflexes, osteotendinous and psychomotor coordination; cardiac examination; detection of alcohol intake and assessment of signs of fatigue; as well as toxicological tests for the detection of psychotropic or narcotic substances.
