EdoMéx falls in the national scale of intentional homicides; 2024 is shaping up to be the safest year in the last seven years / @Edomex >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo reported that, for the third consecutive month, in the State of Mexico there is a drop in intentional homicides, this is the month with the most significant decrease with four homicides per day, while the other months of 2024, seven were recorded.

“Today in the Coordination Table for the Construction of Peace we reviewed the information on intentional homicide. November was the month with the lowest record in the history of the State Prosecutor’s Office, with a decrease in this crime during the year. These results are the product of the coordination between the government authorities that make up this Roundtable.

“We also attended the #MañaneraDelPueblo, where the success and relevance of the Enjambre and Atarraya operations in #Edomex were highlighted. We will continue to carry out actions that allow us to build the peace and security that the population deserves. #ElPoderDeServir,” said Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez on her social networks.

In addition, the meeting unveiled a decrease of more than 13 percent, in the period from January 1 to December 15, 2024, compared to the same period in 2023.

President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo also highlighted the deployment in the State of Mexico, of successful actions such as “Operativo Enjambre”, which allowed the arrest of several officials involved in acts of corruption and other crimes. As well as the “Operativo Atarraya” where 175 bars and “chelerías” were secured in different municipalities of the State of Mexico; 30 through raids and 145 through inspections.
