With the support of Angeles Verdes, Sectur welcomes Mexican heroines and heroes back to Mexico / @SECTUR_mx >>>

#SECTUR.- The Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Josefina Rodriguez Zamora, welcomed the heroines and heroes paisanos to Mexico, whom she recognized and thanked for their important contributions to the economic and cultural development of two nations.

Within the framework of the “Héroes Paisanos” operation, the head of the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) informed that the General Directorate of Tourist Services, Angeles Verdes, provides support with mechanical assistance, tourist orientation and aid in the event of natural disasters to the nationals of the different caravans that enter Mexico.

He highlighted the importance of assisting and guiding Mexicans returning to the country as part of the promotion of Nostalgia Tourism, a tourism to reconnect with their roots, their customs, their gastronomy and the greatness that Mexico has. “And, of course, to reconnect and embrace their families,” he said.

He praised the inter-institutional work with the National Guard, the National Customs Agency, Banjercito, the National Immigration Institute, the Consulate General of Mexico in Laredo, Texas, the state and municipal police and the Civil Protection authorities, which has been joined by Angeles Verdes to ensure the entry, transit and exit of our fellow countrymen and women.

In this sense, he highlighted that special accompaniment has been given to 4 caravans heading to the interior of the Republic, in routes to San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas and Querétaro, from the latter some countrymen heading to Mexico City, Hidalgo, Puebla and Guerrero, for which reason a liaison was provided by the General Directorate of Tourist Services during the transit of said caravans in order to strengthen the safe transit of the nationals.
