#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- San Miguel de Allende reaffirms its position as the “Best Tourist Destination of the Year” in Mexico and the best city to visit worldwide, after a successful holiday season.

This holiday period lasted until Sunday, January 5, primarily because San Miguel de Allende has expanded its offer of tourist attractions; also many visitors opted to stay until that weekend because of the vacation season, and also because of the arrival of new visitors.

During this season, economic revenue was generated in excess of 1.5 billion pesos (1,502,714,980 pesos); the restaurant and hotel sectors reported significant increases in consumption and hotel occupancy, reaching 100% occupancy, with “New Year’s Eve” night being the highest point.

Between December 24, 2024 and January 5, 2025, more than 403,956 people lived an unforgettable experience by enjoying the traditions, artisan legacy, light shows, gastronomy, music, and the warm hospitality that characterizes this colonial destination.

In the Main Garden, more than 18,500 people welcomed 2025 in a spectacular event organized by the Tourism and Economic Development Department of the Municipal Government.
