#Querétaro, #Qro.- The head of the Energy Agency of the State of Querétaro, Mauricio Reyes, signed a collaboration agreement with the representative of Engie Mexico, Ana Laura Ludlow, in order to promote sustainable development in the region through projects that promote the efficient use of natural gas in industrial, commercial and domestic sectors, optimizing the state’s infrastructure in this area.

The agreement includes actions aimed at promoting a sustainable energy transition with alternatives such as biomethane and renewable energies, contributing to the decarbonization of processes and the reduction of emissions in Querétaro. These initiatives have a direct impact on the environment and reinforce the commitment of both parties to sustainability.

In addition, we seek to promote labor inclusion through specific programs for young people and women, as well as to implement social projects that benefit vulnerable communities, prioritizing equity and social responsibility.

Engie Mexico has a key natural gas distribution network in Querétaro, which guarantees a reliable supply to boost energy efficiency in the region.

With a lower environmental impact compared to other fossil fuels, natural gas is a more accessible resource due to its cost and wide availability, which positions it as a viable option to diversify the state’s energy matrix, promoting decarbonization and efficiency in consumption.
