#EstadoDeMéxico.- As part of the work undertaken by the administration of Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez in favor of vulnerable groups, the Private Assistance Board of the State of Mexico (JAPEM) coordinates Private Assistance Institutions (IAP) that directly assist 318,197 people in six areas: medical, education, senior citizens, people with disabilities, social development, as well as children and adolescents.

This is achieved through assistance services ranging from food support, health care, school scholarships, community development, job training, care and rehabilitation of people with disabilities, as well as temporary or permanent shelters.

Under this scenario, the IAPs are present in 52 municipalities of the entity, as well as in Querétaro, Hidalgo, Puebla, Michoacán, Jalisco and Mexico City, by carrying out field work to get closer to remote communities with different social realities.

“In the entity, private assistance is made up of lists whose beneficiaries have real names and faces and, above all, are people who truly need the support,” said Sergio López Manjarrez, Executive Secretary of JAPEM.

For this reason, JAPEM carries out verification visits in accounting-administrative, legal, assistance and medical-psychological matters to guarantee transparency and compliance with its work, as instructed by the Secretary of Welfare, Juan Carlos González Romero.

Finally, he invited citizens to create more organizations that defend social causes, so they can contact JAPEM on social networks: Facebook @Japem Estado de México and X @JAP_EdoMex, or send an email to asistencia.privada@edomex.gob.mx.
