#QuintanaRoo.- During the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR) 2025, Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa met with Mark Hoplamaizan, President of Hyatt Group, and Encarna Piñero, Executive Vice President and CEO of Grupo Piñero, who signed a historic agreement for the construction of 25,000 new hotel rooms in the state.

Governor Mara Lezama celebrated this strategic alliance that strengthens the Mexican Caribbean destinations. This important tourism infrastructure project represents an increase of up to 30% in bookings for the destination, positioning Quintana Roo as an undisputed leader in tourism at the international level.

During the meeting, Governor Mara Lezama highlighted that this agreement is the result of the state government’s efforts to strengthen international relations and attract investment to boost economic growth and prosperity in the state.

This agreement with two of the most important hotel chains in the world reinforces the state government’s commitment to continue promoting the growth of Quintana Roo in a sustainable manner, favoring tourism development that benefits the entire population, both economically and socially.
