#NuevoLeón.- The Secretary of Equality and Inclusion joins the commitments of Governor Samuel García Sepúlveda to provide better opportunities to persons deprived of their freedom, adults and adolescents, and their families by signing an Inter-institutional Collaboration Framework Agreement with the Ministry of Security.
At the Social Reinsertion Center No. 2, in Apodaca, Secretary Martha Herrera mentioned that the state agency will be able to bring the programs, procedures and services of the Government of Nuevo Leon and civil organizations closer to the Social Reinsertion Centers in the State, for the benefit of persons deprived of their freedom and their families.
“They say that opportunities are not given, they are built. And that is what we are doing here: building bridges so that every person deprived of liberty has access to what they should never lack: justice, dignity and equal opportunities. Today we are reaffirming our commitment to dignity and social justice,” said the state official.
With the above, the Secretariat of Equality and Inclusion complies with the provisions of paragraphs 7 and 207 of the National Law of Penal Execution and 77 of the National Law of the Adolescent Criminal Justice System in its role as co-responsible authority in the adult and adolescent penitentiary system.
These actions will strengthen the psychosocial accompaniment and social management provided to persons released from prison to facilitate their process of reintegration into society; and for their families, workshops and psychosocial, cultural, educational, sports and entrepreneurship activities will be carried out.
