Municipal open government technical secretariat of Celaya installed / @municipiocelaya >>>

#Celaya, #Gto.- With the purpose of generating an alliance of commitment between society and government to promote transparency, increase citizen participation in public affairs, fight corruption and take advantage of new technologies to expand governance, the Municipal Technical Secretariat of Open Government of Celaya was formed and installed, composed of public servants and representatives of society.

It was the private secretary of the municipal president Juan Miguel Ramirez, Jesus Paz Gomez, who took the protest to the members of this body of citizen participation, whom he recognized and thanked for their social commitment and their willingness.

“The government headed by President Juan Miguel Ramirez Sanchez gives another example of transparency here in Celaya. This body is integrated not only by officials and some agencies, but by citizens who will be aware that transparency is complied with and the municipal president has stated that it will not only be written and signed, but with the participation of citizens and officials who are part of this body will be transparent and available to each and every one of the citizens,” said the private secretary in his message.

The director of the Transparency Unit, Miriam Silva, informed as historical context that the Open Government Alliance was formally launched in September 2011; in Guanajuato the second declaration of Open Government was in 2022 and in July 2023 Celaya installed its first secretariat.

He explained that through this auxiliary and consultative body, in addition to promoting transparency, citizens may propose actions that they consider important to be addressed by the municipal government and will be presented to the municipal departments.
