#EstadoDeJalisco.- The Comptroller’s Office of the State of Jalisco promoted a regional meeting between the heads of municipal Internal Control Bodies, which brought together the heads of the Comptrollers’ Offices of 22 districts that make up the Southern, Northern Highlands and Southern Highlands regions of the state.

The meeting reviewed the application of preventive anti-corruption mechanisms, their strengthening at the municipal level and discussed the responsibilities that municipalities will have in the face of regulatory reforms in the area of transparency.

This was carried out within the framework of the work developed by the Commission of Municipal-State Comptrollers (CCMP).

“The guarantee of the governments to prevent acts of corruption is us and we deserve constitutional stature”, highlighted Teresa Brito Serrano, State Comptroller, in the inauguration of the meeting.

The meeting reviewed different aspects derived from the disappearance of the autonomous agencies, with the purpose of consolidating schemes that guarantee integrity in public administration, based on governmental transparency.

The CCMP session promoted the exchange of knowledge and best practices in auditing and transparency, to advance Jalisco’s commitment to the construction of open and efficient governments.

The Commission of State-Municipal Comptrollers is a collegiate body that seeks to strengthen the responsibility of the Internal Control Bodies to provide certainty to citizens about the correct application of public resources; this through better governmental practices and mechanisms for oversight, accountability and transparency.
