#ISSSTE.- The Director General of the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (ISSSTE), Martí Batres Guadarrama, inaugurated the SuperISSSTE Coruña store, located in the Iztacalco district of Mexico City, one of the two branches closed in May 2024 and reopened by the current administration to offer quality products at affordable prices to its beneficiaries and the general public.
“(…) Now all our neighbors from here, from the neighborhoods that surround us, from La Moderna, from Álamos, from beyond La Postal, from Santa Anita, Asturias, from Viaducto Piedad, etc., are welcome to this SuperISSSTE store,” he said.
In front of users and staff of the store, located in the Viaducto Piedad neighborhood, Martí Batres emphasized that the reopening of the store is part of the strengthening of the SuperISSSTE chain, which in turn boosts the Mexican economy with the incorporation of perishable products such as fruits and vegetables, Liconsa and Almacenes Ánfora brand items, as well as books from the Fondo de Cultura Económica (FCE).
“Today more than ever we say that what is made in Mexico is well made, so we are going to strongly promote everything that is Mexican economy, national economy, both in the public, private and social sectors; and here the products of public, private and social companies will have their space in the SuperISSSTE stores, to continue promoting Mexico’s productive strength,” he said after cutting the ribbon at the store’s opening ceremony.
The CEO highlighted that the recovery of this store is in addition to that of the “El Reloj” branch, in the offices of the Tax Administration Service (SAT), and the Hairdressers, soon to reopen in the Venustiano Carranza district, bringing Mexico City’s total to 16 stores, in addition to the 27 in other states of the Republic.
