#Izcalli, #Edoméx.- The Municipal President, Daniel Serrano, signed the “Collaboration and Coordination Agreement to pool resources and formalize actions for the maintenance of hydraulic infrastructure”, between the Water Commission of the State of Mexico (CAEM) and the municipalities of Cuautitlán Izcalli, Atizapán and Nicolás Romero. This legal document sets forth the actions to be carried out by each local authority in the bodies of water shared by the aforementioned municipalities, such as the El Ángulo and Lago de Guadalupe dams.
In addition to the mayor of Cuautitlán Izcalli, also participating in the signing of the agreement, signed at the CAEM offices, were the Executive Director of the State Water Commission, Beatriz García Villegas; the mayor of Nicolás Romero, Yoselin Mendoza; the Municipal President of Atizapán, Pedro Rodríguez; the Deputy Secretary of
Government of the Valley of Mexico, Guadalupe Balderas Cisneros; and the heads of the water agencies of each of the localities involved.

It should be recalled that this joint effort for the sanitation and recovery of the bodies of water began in a meeting that turned into inter-municipal work tables in which Cuautitlán Izcalli and Atizapán committed to rehabilitate the gates of the El Ángulo dam, while Nicolás Romero undertook to pay for the collection of waste from the Lago de Guadalupe dam.
The Municipal President, Daniel Serrano, who proposed these work tables, emphasized the importance of giving continuity to the actions already initiated, in order to avoid risks for the population and to advance in the sanitation of these bodies of water.
In this same sense, the three mayors have agreed on the importance of prevention, since the investment to be made in these actions is much less than that which must be allocated in case of emergencies, mainly during the rainy season.
