#QuintanaRoo.- To follow up on issues and situations considered a challenge for the tourism sector, such as security, infrastructure, welfare, health, among others, Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa led a working meeting with the Hotel Council of the Mexican Caribbean, made up of 8 associations.
At the Seventh Working Meeting of the CHCM, the commitment to shared prosperity and social justice was reiterated, following up on strategic infrastructure and mobility issues.
Progress was recognized in projects such as the rehabilitation of Highway 307 and adjustments in the works during night hours.
Through SEOP, constant supervision of works being executed by the SICT is maintained.
Priority is given to strengthening road infrastructure in strategic areas, such as the Cancun – Puerto Morelos highway, to reduce road accidents.
Safety actions are reinforced with coordination between authorities and tourist service providers to prevent accidents.
We are working on technical studies to manage various projects.
Video surveillance is strengthened with the integration of more hotels to the state security system, advancing in the connection scheme with the C5 Quintana Roo.
Work continues on the Nichupté Bridge and we are working on mobility strategies to improve traffic flow and safety at intersections.
