#TlalnepantlaDeBaz, #EstadoDeMéxico. – In order to ensure the health and well-being of the families of Tlalnepantla, the Municipal DIF System has new services for residents who require quality medical care without affecting their finances.
During the second Medical-Assistance Day ‘DIF Tlalnepantla within your reach’ which took place in the La Romana colony, the honorary president of this organisation, Rocío Pérez Cruz, highlighted the psychological and psychiatric care service provided with the support of professional staff in the field.
He added that there is also a specialised area for the treatment of chronic injuries in people with diseases such as diabetes or venous insufficiency to prevent complications and improve their quality of life.
In the Procuraduría del Adulto Mayor, he continued, the rights of the elderly are protected and legal advice and support is provided to guarantee their safety and well-being at this stage of their lives, through a multidisciplinary group that assists this sector of the population.
In the fight against the consumption of harmful substances, Rocío Pérez Cruz commented that DIF Tlalnepantla has an Addiction Care Clinic, since this problem does not only affect those who suffer from it, but also the people around them. Counselling, psychological support and specialised treatment are also provided, as well as accompaniment for people seeking to move forward and find the road to recovery.
In order to ensure the well-being of the inhabitants of Tlalnepantla, the Women’s Empowerment Centre provides legal and psychological support and training to all those who strive to achieve their independence, providing them with tools and knowledge that motivate them to find their autonomy.
