Benito Juarez Mayor’s Office and parks and gardens workers reach agreement / @BJAlcaldia >>>

#BenitoJuárez, #CDMX.- The Benito Juárez City Hall and the workers of Section 6 of the Single Union of Mexico City Government Workers (SUTGCDMX) reached an agreement that will improve labor relations and raise the quality of services in the district’s parks and gardens, benefiting residents.

Workers and union representatives recognized the city hall’s willingness to reach agreements and expressed their willingness to continue working on the maintenance and beautification of green areas.

During the meeting, the administration expressed its commitment to maintaining open channels of communication to address any situation that may arise, as well as establishing mechanisms to ensure a good relationship and foster a suitable work environment.

It was emphasized that parks and gardens are a priority for this administration, as they are the healthy recreational spaces most enjoyed by the residents of Benito Juárez, as well as by the thousands of visitors who come from other municipalities and regions of the country. Therefore, it is essential to keep them in optimal condition.

In this regard, during the negotiating table, workers and union leaders expressed their desire to return to their jobs and continue maintaining the green areas, with the goal of ensuring that the parks remain a symbol of the mayor’s office and Mexico City.

The draft agreement was signed by Gerardo Clara, Director General of Administration and Finance; Hussein Ronquillo, Director General of Urban Services; María Eugenia Jordan Hortube of the Political Coordination of the Mexico City Government Secretariat; and Javier Gaytán González, leader of Section 6 of the SUTGCDMX.
