#Tlalpan, #CDMX.- The mayoress of Tlalpan, Gaby Osorio, participated this Friday in the launch of the Safe Holy Week 2025 operation, accompanied by the mayor, Clara Brugada; the Secretary of Citizen Security, Pablo Vázquez; and federal government authorities, with the goal of safeguarding those traveling on the highway during this holiday period.

From the southern exit of the city on the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway, Osorio reaffirmed that her government will actively participate in surveillance and prevention efforts to provide safety and peace of mind to families traveling on this highway to various destinations in the country.

“We are working with the Mexico City government and the federal government to ensure that everyone has a peaceful and orderly vacation with timely assistance in case of an emergency,” she stated.

The Easter operation for Mexico City includes 14,300 personnel, 1,200 patrol cars, 40 motorcycles, 22 ambulances, 16 motorcycle ambulances, five tow trucks, a Condor helicopter, and 17 mobile medical units, which will be deployed at nine highway points. In addition to surveillance, mechanical inspections, medical and breathalyzer tests, and physical assessments to detect signs of fatigue will be conducted.

For her part, Mayor Clara Brugada reported that more than 618,000 tourists are expected to arrive in Mexico City, representing a 4.2% increase compared to 2024.
