The High-Level Dialogue on Sustainable Industrial Policy in Mexico concludes successfully / @SE_mx >>>

#Economía.- On April 7 and 8, at the initiative of Undersecretary of Industry and Commerce Vidal Llerenas, the Ministry of Economy organized—in collaboration with the TIDE Center at the University of Oxford and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation—the High-Level Dialogue on Sustainable Industrial Policy. This meeting, held in Mexico City, brought together more than 50 national and international specialists and established itself as a key space for collective reflection on Mexico’s productive direction in the face of new global demands.

Convened and led by Undersecretary Llerenas’ team, the event facilitated the coordination of assessments and proposals aimed at strengthening the design and implementation of Plan Mexico and modern, sustainable, and inclusive industrial policies. Through the panel discussions and working sessions, concrete recommendations are being consolidated as input for the Ministry’s sectoral strategy.

Building the Roadmap: Key Insights from the Dialogue

Over the course of two days, strategic topics such as institutional governance, financing mechanisms, attracting foreign direct investment, building technological capabilities, and the alignment between industrial and energy policy were addressed.

These inputs were prepared based on contributions from national and international academics, representatives of civil society organizations, and multilateral organizations such as ECLAC, UNIDO, the IDB, and the World Bank.
