#Tlalnepantla, #Edoméx.- To ensure better mobility for the residents of the Lázaro Cárdenas 1st Section neighborhood, Mayor Raciel Pérez Cruz launched the construction and/or rehabilitation of urban walkways, a project in which more than 9.5 million pesos will be invested, benefiting more than 11,000 residents.

The mayor reported that these funds are part of the Fund for the Strengthening of Municipalities (FORTAMUN) and the work will be carried out on the walkways located on Club Ocelotl, Club Alud, and Club Hiloche streets.

He added that other actions to be carried out in this community include the repair or reconstruction of steps in poor condition, the installation of handrails, solar LED lights, maintenance of green areas, as well as the rehabilitation of drainage and drinking water lines to mitigate the shortage of water in homes. In this regard, the mayor commented that with the support of the Federal Government, headed by Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum, «we are committed to exploring and constructing five wells that will help us with the water issue. We want to leave behind the current situation in these communities, where the water supply is unguaranteed. This is the Year of the East in terms of drinking water.»

He also indicated that through the «Lighting Up Our City» program, new streetlights will be installed and existing ones will be maintained to reduce crime in the Lázaro Cárdenas community and gradually throughout Tlalnepantla Oriente.

On Argentina Street, located in the San José Ixhuatepec neighborhood, between Maracaibo and Honduras roads, hydraulic concrete resurfacing work began, benefiting more than 1,133 residents with an investment of more than 8.2 million pesos.
