#SECTUR.- The Mexican Government’s Ministry of Tourism highlighted that, according to information from the Sinaloa state tourism agency, Mazatlán began the holiday season with 83 percent hotel occupancy.

The head of the Ministry of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, stated that this demonstrates the confidence of tourists in visiting Mazatlán, given that, in line with expectations, 90 percent occupancy is expected on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of Holy Week.

She stated that she will continue working together with the state and municipal governments to consolidate the Pearl of the Pacific as a national and international tourism destination.

She also invited tourists to continue visiting this tourist destination, which, in the coming months, will host important international events such as the Surf Tournament, Mexi Log Fest, as well as the celebration of Music Day with the participation of more than 200 artists, and the Friends of Mazatlán Festival.

Additionally, high-impact sporting events will be held, such as the El Cid Golf Tournament, the Great Mazatlán Pacific Marathon and Triathlon, and the Mazatlán CicloTour.

“Mazatlán is a place with a diversity of tourist attractions, a perfect blend of history, culture, natural beauty, gastronomy, arts, and entertainment, where its golden sands, vibrant nightlife, and the warm hospitality of its people will provide visitors with unforgettable experiences,” she commented.

She noted that, according to her Sinaloa counterpart, Mireya Sosa Osuna, 190 cruise ships are expected to arrive in Mazatlán by 2026, 47 more than in 2025, or a 32.9 percent increase.
