#Naucalpan, #Edoméx.- Naucalpan falls out of the top 10 cities nationwide with the highest perception of insecurity in the first quarter of 2025 and drops from second place to twelfth, with a decrease of 7.2% compared to the same quarter in 2024, according to the results of the recent National Urban Public Security Survey (ENSU) presented by INEGI.
In just three months, there has already been progress in security. This is demonstrated by the fact that in Naucalpan, the perception of insecurity has decreased, dropping to 82.4%, and we are no longer among the 10 municipalities with the highest perception in the country, nor in second place.
The National Urban Public Security Survey indicates that, compared to the same period last year, Naucalpan residents had a perception of insecurity of 89.6%, and compared to the recent percentage of 82.4%, this represents a decrease of 7.2%.
According to the last quarter of 2024, the perception of insecurity decreased from 85.6% to 82.4%. In September 2024, the perception of insecurity placed Naucalpan at 88.0%, only behind Tapachula at 91.9%.

In the fourth quarter of 2024, Naucalpan ranked second in the top five nationwide for the highest perception of insecurity, surpassed only by Tapachula, Chiapas. And in the State of Mexico, it ranked first for the highest perception of insecurity.
This survey is collected quarterly in 91 urban areas across the country. In March 2025, 61.9% of the population aged 18 and over, residing in 91 urban areas of interest, considered it unsafe to live in their city.
This edition of the ENSU (National Urban Survey) reports that 18 urban areas of interest showed statistically significant changes compared to December 2024: 7 with reductions and 11 with increases. The municipality of Naucalpan is among these 7 with reductions.
