#ISSSTE.- Jabnely Maldonado Meza, Executive Director of the Housing Fund of the Institute of Security and Social Services (FOVISSSTE), participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Housing for Well-being Program, led by Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, in Campeche. She delivered the first Settlement Certificates to people who have paid two or more times the amount of their loan.

This was part of the Support Program for FOVISSSTE borrowers, which was launched following the publication of the presidential decree establishing mechanisms to facilitate the settlement of bad loans.

During the event, which also included Governor Layda Sansores San Román, Executive Director Jabnely Maldonado Meza reiterated that FOVISSSTE is working to regain people’s trust and become a social instrument that guarantees the right to housing.

“The President of Mexico asked us to closely assist public workers to resolve thousands of loans that became unpayable because the financial vision prevailed over the social one,” he stated.

He emphasized that, after 52 years of the organization, for the first time, an unprecedented Support Program for public workers was created, with the goal of providing them with legal and financial certainty.
