Construction of the Nichupté Bridge uses unique technology in Mexico: Mara Lezama / @MaraLezama @GobQuintanaRoo >>>

#QuintanaRoo.- During a tour of the Nichupté Bridge construction site, Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa witnessed the technological process used to protect the lagoon’s ecological landscape.

Accompanied by engineers who are experts in this type of construction, she was informed that, due to the discovery of a cavern in the bridge’s path, it was necessary to build a structure approximately 100 meters long to clear this natural underground cavity.

The governor of Quintana Roo emphasized that there will be no impact on the lagoon, as cutting-edge technology is being used for its protection.

As is known, President Claudia Sheinbaum and Governor Mara Lezama supervised these construction projects. However, the head of the government toured the section under construction by water to learn more details.

The construction of the bridge over the Nichupté Lagoon, which will change the face of Cancún, was commissioned by Governor Mara Lezama before then-President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and is continued by Mexico’s first female President, Claudia Sheinbaum.
