#Tlalnepantla, #Edoméx.- More than 210 students from the Francisco Villa elementary school in the town of San Juan Ixhuatepec are benefiting from the opening of the third «Wellness Kitchen,» where they can enjoy healthy, well-seasoned food while avoiding junk food that harms their development.
Municipal President Raciel Pérez Cruz stated that children, mothers, and fathers are the main driving force behind his government, and that this program aims to ensure that no one in Tlalnepantla goes to bed hungry. This program also builds social spaces that create closer, united communities.
He added that this initiative also supports women who work hard to support their families, as for 15 pesos, their children will receive a complete and balanced diet so they can spend their time on other tasks.
After sharing Milanese, elbow macaroni soup, mashed potatoes, and tamarind water with the student community, the mayor acknowledged the efforts of the staff at the Wellness Kitchen: «They will be here with great warmth and great flavor. We’ve already tried the food from two kitchens we’ve opened, and everything is delicious.»

Rodrigo Santoyo, head of the Wellness Kitchen, stated that this program aligns with the national campaign led by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo to combat junk food consumption on campuses. Therefore, through this public policy, the foundations are being laid for a healthy eating culture that will enable children to become a healthier generation.
The director of this educational institution, Manuel Ramos Moreno, stated that «the Wellness Kitchen represents much more than just a place to eat; it is a symbol of unity, commitment, and well-being for our community, especially for the reason that brings us together today: our children.»
