Sectur and BBVA promote domestic tourism with the «We Move Forward for Mexico» strategy / @josefinarodzam @SECTUR_mx >>>

#SECTUR.- The Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, and the Vice President and General Manager of BBVA México, Eduardo Osuna Osuna, presented the «Avanzamos por México» strategy to boost domestic tourism through five pillars:

Promotions for travelers and bank users on flights, lodging, and tourist packages.

A dissemination campaign to position the Mexico and Magical Towns brands.

Digitization, facilitating payments for tourism services through various digital methods.

Economic development, generating a direct positive impact on the resident communities of the Magical Towns.

Financial education, holding workshops for students, SMEs, tourism service providers, and other sectors of the population on the subject.

The head of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) added that, with this strategic alliance between the Ministry of Tourism and BBVA, the Mexico brand will be promoted and access to financing will be provided in community tourism centers.

He stated that the «Avanzamos por México» initiative «joins the efforts made by this administration to position our country as one of the top five tourist destinations worldwide and increase the economic impact and employment derived from this noble activity, one of the goals established in the Mexico Plan to generate Shared Prosperity.»

With this alliance, BBVA joins the digitalization process of the Magical Towns by offering SMEs banking products such as point-of-sale terminals, payment gateways, and transaction links, bringing them closer to the advantages of online payments.
