#ISSSTE.- In honor of Children’s Day, celebrated every April 30th, the Institute of Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE), led by Director General Martí Batres Guadarrama, held free activities throughout the month in medical and administrative units, as well as in Day Care Centers for Child Welfare and Development (EBDI) nationwide to commemorate the children’s rights.
This was announced by the head of ISSSTE through social media, where he recognized the work of the staff on this day, which commemorates children’s rights and the importance of working for their well-being.
“This is how Children’s Day is celebrated at @ISSSTE_mx. The health and administrative staff joined the celebration with dedication and sensitivity to the well-being of our youngest members,” he shared.
Among the activities, the most notable were the activities that took place in the pediatric ward of the ISSSTE León Regional Hospital (HR) in Guanajuato. Kitchen, dietetics, and nutrition staff prepared a special menu for infants. Ophthalmology staff from that unit, as well as medical staff from the Adolfo López Mateos Regional Hospital (HR) in Mexico City and the HR in Monterrey, Nuevo León, dressed up as video game and movie characters to provide a pleasant experience for children.
Likewise, nursing and social work staff from the outpatient clinic at the Querétaro General Hospital (HG) organized activities to improve the quality of life for children who came for consultations and for those who were hospitalized.
