#EstadoDeMéxico.- The State of Mexico joined the 2025 Board of Directors of the National System of Physical Culture and Sports (SINADE) in recognition of the policies promoted by Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez aimed at promoting, practicing, and properly developing sports.

During the First Regular Session of this Board, held in Acapulco, Guerrero, six directors of national sports institutes were sworn in, including Manuel Sotomayor Landecho of the State of Mexico. They will have a voice and vote, allowing them to work closely with the Federal Government for the benefit of sports at the state and national levels.

SINADE is the highest permanent collegiate authority for representation and governance in matters of physical culture and sports in Mexico. This body is responsible for directing, monitoring, and enforcing the policies emanating from the Sectoral Program. Therefore, the State of Mexico is now able to submit proposals, initiatives, and projects for the proper management of sports for the benefit of athletes from the State of Mexico and Mexico.

The organization is comprised of state agencies and entities responsible for sports, national sports associations, CONADE, the Mexican Olympic and Paralympic Committees, student sports councils, as well as representatives from other public agencies, with the goal of coordinating, fostering, supporting, and promoting sports development in the country.

Professor Rommel Pacheco Marrufo was responsible for swearing in the new Board of Directors of SINADE 2025, while urging the members of this collegiate body to propose, discuss, and contribute to SINADE ideas that strengthen the country’s sports sector.

One hundred and sixty sports authorities from across the country participated in the session, where they debated proposals for the National Plan for Physical Culture and Sports and developed a package of amendments to sports legislation to lay the groundwork for its transformation in Mexico.
